The Main Thing (10/28/13)

Read: Jeremiah 51:54-52:34, Titus 3:1-15, Psalm 100:1-5, Proverbs 26:18-19

When God our Savior revealed his kindness and love, he saved us, not because of the righteous things we had done, but because of his mercy. He washed away our sins, giving us a new birth and new life through the Holy Spirit. He generously poured out the Spirit upon us through Jesus Christ our Savior. Because of his grace he declared us righteous and gave us confidence that we will inherit eternal life. (Titus 3:4-7)

The Main Thing

Relate: My dad used to have a quote he like to pull out all the time: “The main thing is to keep the main thing the main thing.” Chew on that for a bit. The most important thing we can do is make sure that the things that are most important remain at the forefront of our lives. That’s my explanation… but he said it better.

Who’s my Lord?

Many times today we misunderstand the Bible and think quite deep when it concerns simple principles. For example, we love the phrase “Jesus is Lord”, but I question whether or not we understand it. Without question, Jesus is in control of every situation and nothing can happen (both good and bad) without the approval of God. However, when we begin to say the phrase or even personalize it, “Jesus is my Lord and Savior”, do we mean it?

Lord means Master. Paul once said that He was a slave for Christ, not necessarily belittling himself, but showing his relationship with Jesus. He is a prisoner to the will and purpose of God (Philemon 1:1). Paul didn’t think it was too much for him to be souled out to Christ or to be persecuted for His name, he counted everything as a privilege and served Jesus with passion and love. When…

Do you remenber those times when “the east becomes west and the south becomes North…the four cardinal points meet at your head”. You try to find out what is sutable for you either in morals or academics..( not that you do not know what to do, you just need someone to say the same thing in your mind to you as a way of compeliing you).

Sometimes I ask for what is His will

in this my pitiable peril.

Those times when you know that you cannot help yourself but for fear of people

(probably because of the position you hold).

but unkwown to you, your news is going round as in a ripple.

but instead you keep fighting it..even when you know it is a lost battle.

  When before your very eyes

you hope and dreams are being dashed

and with your eyes closed you see the dream you once had flashed.

when you try to explain but noone understands you, with tears

you remenber those who once cheered.

In all these i have come to see that the future to some people is a torture

due to their past deliquent structure.

My strength is indeed weak

and in my head is what seems like a future so bleak.

I know that when i cry, that God will hear

even when i try to hide my fear.

I believe He will because it is His will.

Elena's "Just My Thoughts" Christian Inspiration

I do not like to point fingers, I do not like to accuse, but when I see Pastors, or people changing the word of God, diminish, and undermine knowing it. I see how it hurts people. I see, how it can cripple someone. Knowing Gods true word the King James Bible, has an anointing, and a power, and when pastors don’t know this, and they water down the word of God, dismiss it, or just ignore, what God says, they are hurting their own souls for eternity.

Folks, we need to know Gods word on our own. Because many times, it does not come from the pulpit.

Today, I saw something, from a very, very prominent pastor, that told people, “you don’t need to know 25 scriptures.”

IF, in any context, to diminish promoting, or encouraging people to know Gods word, this is a disservice to the body of Christ.

Friends and effects

I have seen that the problem with many teenagers and youths today is not that they do not hear the gospel, they hear it but…
they don’t know what to do with what they have heard, they are more concerned about friends. But the truth is that we all get a chance to die once {ok maybe the majority die once} and we all will be judged individually…..believe me, whoever initiated you into any cult or pushed you into doing that wrong thing {or those wrong things} will never defend you before God! then why don’t you sought it out with God now? Don’t let anyone drag you to hell! what would you say if because of a friend, you did something really bad…{think of the worst thing you could ever do} and when you die you were not priviledged to stay with God and you see the other man dancing in heaven?….now dont’t go: “i will kill him” because you cannot kill a dead man. or “i will jump to heaven and drag him down” well the truth is that you cannot do that, there is a big seperation between heaven and hell Luke 16:26. And besides if there was anything like that, the demons will be in heaven since they first day they tasted hell. or you might go: “i will tell God that he was the one who made me do it” as a matter of fact God saw everything that happened on earth so your telling Him will change nothing. But the bible made me know that God has mercy on whom he pleases Exodus 33:19. Become that man/woman/boy/girl, obtain mercy and serve God!… may God help you IJN! I love you deeply!

Official ejection!

Some of us give the devil more place than he deserves. When we strike our foot against a stone, we call him, when we are tired, we call him, when we lie out of our own volition we call him. I have come to see that all these things have just made him stronger, he now has our attention. That is what he wants for himself, our attention. And we are doing just that. Before an archer can hit a target, he must put his attention on the target; our attention is for our profitability not for the devil’s scheme to be carried out. Ephesians 4:27 says, “give no place to the devil”. so there is a place he is looking for and we are not to give it to him lets starve him of our attention! And as you are doing this, i see God taking a grip of your hand and the devil losing his grip on your life in Jesus name! hallelujah! you are free!

Believe me when i tell you that you can never get a second chance to make a good first impression. many people have not actually realized how much their life on earth depends on their integrity. The bible states that Job was a man of integrity and believe me, God cannot lie, if Job was not, God would not have attested to that. Is your integrity so pronounced that even God cannot help but bear witness? can man even stand and put his/her life on the line for you just because he/she trusts and knows you to be a spotless believer? at a point in my life, I sold my integrity and didn’t care what happened to me or it,… i paid dearly for those years and believe me, it was not easy. Stand for God please, He does not sly people neither is He a ‘con man’. He is God and His words are yes and amen. James 1:17 said that there is no shadow or turning with God. Be bold enough to trust Him and you will walk on the storms of life. But look down or you’ll sink! Do it today! Jesus loves you!
